Elizabeth Raine, Minister
The Reverend Elizabeth Raine joined Tuggeranong Uniting as its minister in December 2018.
Elizabeth has had some diverse and interesting placements, such as a school chaplaincy, a tenancy worker with UnitingCare, a congregational minister, a lecturer at Uniting Theological College, a Presbytery minister, and as an Intentional Interim minister.
While not all have been easy, I have learnt many things from working on the edges of ministry, and my placements have allowed me to work in diverse ways with a broad range of people. As a minister, I find it especially gratifying to work with and cultivate relationships with community groups. I am both committed to encouraging good spiritual and biblical study practices and active discipleship, and to living out my faith in practical ways. I am also committed to advocacy and seeking justice, and hope that we will work together on issues of importance, such as climate change, refugee policy, and welcoming LGBTQI people into our faith family.
I am inspired when as a church you say you are open to new ideas. Helping churches to develop new connections, build on their existing ones, and find new and creative ways to be church is one of my strengths. I am excited to work with Tuggeranong Uniting to implement an exciting future for the congregation.Elizabeth Raine, Minister
