You are invited to hear inspirational Australian Gemma Sisia tell her story at a TUC event on Saturday 14 March, 7.30pm. Coffee and dessert will be provided.
In 2002 Gemma opened the School of St Jude with 3 students and a dream to bring the opportunity of free high-quality education to children living in poverty.
Drawn from families who live below the poverty line, the pupils of St Jude’s are shining examples of what students can achieve when they are given the opportunity to receive a quality education. Education lifts people out of poverty and creates stable and growing economies.
Today, the School of St Jude educates 1800 students across primary and secondary campuses, achieving among the top results in Tanzania. Gemma’s story has been told on the ABC’s Australian Story.
Tickets are $10, and all proceeds will be donated to the school. To book attendance, please register at https://www.trybooking.com/BIAEG
Alternatively you may book directly with Jenny Lang on firstname.lastname@example.org, and pay your donation on the night
