Emergency Foodbank

No Contact Protocol for the Foodbank

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak a no contact policy has been implemented for our foodbank.

If you require assistance with food please phone ahead and arrange a time to do a pickup. A church member will leave a food hamper outside the church doors for you to collect. This policy has been put in place to protect the health of our church members as well as those who come to us for food assistance.

If you would like to request a food hamper please call: 6231 0488 during church office hours (Tuesday to Friday from 10:00am to 1:00pm). Blessings and thank you for your cooperation.

Tuggeranong Uniting Church provides emergency food hampers to help out those in our community who are going through tough times.

The hampers provide enough food for two days. This allows us to assist those in emergency situations, or those experiencing unexpected hardships, until they can access longer term support options. Our church has been able to assist many people in the community throughout the years.

In addition to providing foodbank hampers we also keep a supply of toiletries on hand to offer to those who come to our church for assistance.

We appreciate donations of non perishable food and toiletries to keep up our supplies. The following is a list of foods that we require:

Tins of:

Packets (no more than 500gms) of

Breakfast Cereals

Jars of pasta sauces

Small jars of coffee

Small packets of teabags (25)

Small tins of Milo

Packets of sweet or savoury biscuits, preferably in cardboard boxes as these pack well into bags.

Please be sure to check the ‘use by dates’ so that we do not have to discard out of date food. Baking needs such as sugar, flour etc are not useful.
