The Good News is rooted in justice, mercy and faithfulness

By Amanda Hay

The Gospel story takes us to the attempt by the Pharisees and Scribes to entrap Jesus with rules around the woman caught in adultery (John 8:2-11). What do we learn from this ill-thought out plan to drag this woman before Jesus? Like Jesus, we respond with justice, mercy and faithfulness and not follow blindly the hard line of dogmatics and testings and traps.

Sermon starts at 2:04
